| SYMPTOMS | Common failure signs include pink/white dried coolant residue around the quick-connect ends, sweet coolant odor, low coolant warnings, or visible cracks at the molded plastic ends. Cooling system fault codes may set if enough coolant is lost or temperature control is affected (e.g., P2181 Cooling System Performance; P0116 Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Range/Performance). |
| TROUBLESHOOTING | If leaks persist after replacement, pressure test the system (approx. 1.0–1.5 bar) and inspect the expansion tank neck and the radiator nipple for hairline cracks. | INSTALLATION | Only open the cooling system when cool. Release the spring/retaining clip at each quick‑connect, then pull the fitting straight off. Lightly lubricate new O-rings (if included) with fresh coolant, push connectors fully until they seat and the retaining clip snaps into place. Refill with the correct Audi G12++/G13 coolant mixture and bleed per procedure. |
