| INSTALLATION | Clean the drain port and sealing surface, start the plug by hand to avoid cross‑threading, and tighten to the torque specified in the factory repair manual for the vehicle/engine. Do not use thread sealant or tape. Inspect that the captive sealing washer is present and undamaged before installation. |

| GENERAL NOTES | This plug is supplied with many lower oil pan assemblies. On a number of newer VW applications the oil drain plug supersedes to other part numbers (e.g., 06L103801 or N-911-679-01); confirm by VIN before ordering. |
